Town of Gorham releases holiday closure, fireworks info

GORHAM, ME — The Gorham Municipal Center, Administrative Offices and Baxter Memorial Library will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
Trash Collection Schedule
There will be no changes to the trash collection schedule during the week of this holiday. As a reminder, if your collection day falls on one of the holidays below, your trash will be picked up the next day:
Thanksgiving Day, last Thursday in November
Christmas, December 25th
New Years Day, January 1st
Fireworks Information
The Town of Gorham Consumer Fireworks Ordinance was made effective September 6, 2012 to regulate the use of consumer fireworks to ensure the safety of the residents and property owners of the Town of Gorham and of the general public. As folks look forward to a fun and festive Independence Day holiday, please remember that a permit is required for ALL consumer fireworks use, and the use of consumer fireworks is only allowed on the following days and times:
July 4th, beginning at 12pm (noon) and ending at 11pm;
