GHS Cheerleaders Help Fight Food Insecurity in Gorham

GORHAM, ME (August 26, 2022) — The GHS Cheerleaders spent Wednesday afternoon working in the GMS garden in an effort to do their part to help fight food insecurity in Gorham.

Senior Captain Morgan Cole echoed the sentiments of the team: “We care so much about our community and think it’s important to put our school code of conduct in action. It’s our RESPONSIBILITY to step up and be helpful. To be a cheerleader means so much more than adding school spirit on the sidelines at a football game; it’s being supportive, strong, leadership and setting an example for others in kindness. Plus, we can throw people in the air and catch them, so don’t doubt our athleticism!! We encourage others to get involved in projects that help our schools and town.”
