St. John’s brings Rome to Brunswick for annual fundraiser
BRUNSWICK, ME – Step into a quaint Italian village for the Saint John’s Catholic School’s “A Night in Rome” on May 11th, featuring live entertainment from Jim Ciampi Events and their popular dueling piano show, “Keys to the City,” and auctioneer John Bottero, Executive Director of Owls Head Transportation Museum. The Auction Committee invites you to tour the Italian market where you can shop at our fioraio (flower shop) and pasticceria (bakery), order un cappuccino at the café, and enjoy our specialty cocktails and vino at the bar. Guests will also enjoy tanti antipasti e piattini (many appetizers and small plates) at the trattoria and sandwich offerings at the paninoteca. You don’t need to speak Italian to travel Rome with us and support St. John’s Catholic School!
Each year, this highly anticipated event seeks to support the greatest needs of the school and student scholarships. The evening will include a small live auction and special appeal paddle raise, raffle prizes, buy it now opportunities, and some interactive fundraising during the show. This year’s theme, “A Night in Rome” invites you to spend an evening in Italy toasting to Catholic education while singing along to a high energy performance from “Keys to the City” on dueling pianos. With decades of great hits from Elton John to Billy Joel and Sinatra, the night of music and laughter will be one you’ll never forget!
The event will be held May 11th with doors opening at 6PM at the St. John’s Community Center located at 37 Pleasant Street in Brunswick. All are welcome.
