New Gorham police officer

GORHAM – Officer Bryce Randall was sworn in as a member of the Gorham Police Department at a brief ceremony at the Gorham Municipal Center last week.
Randall is working on a bachelor’s in Criminology at the University of Southern Maine.
He is certified as a part-time law enforcement officer, and has experience with the Old Orchard Beach Police department.
Randall will be assigned to the midnight patrol division after he completes the Maine Criminal Justice Academy’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Program and the Gorham Police field training program.
GO Gorham Outdoors
The Gorham Fire Department is hosting a fun and free afternoon of fire building, fire safety, food and stories with Maine resident and Survivor Gabon winner Bob Crowley from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 14, on the recreation fields at Narragansett Elementary School. The event is open to anyone 5 years or older.

Road Postings
Gorham Public Works has initiated the annual posting of roads to heavy traffic through May 1.

Fee Increase
A Portland Water District wastewater collection fee increase goes into effect on April 1.
The Town of Gorham will assess a wastewater collection increase over the next three years.
Current fees are Base (1HCF) $13.74, Additional HCG $6.29.
Effective Apr. 1 – Base (1HCF) $14.39, Additional HCG $6.64.
Effective Apr. 1, 2022 – Base (1HCF) $15.04, Additional HCG $6.99.
Effective Apr. 1, 2023 – Base (1HCF) $15.69, Additional HCG $7.34.
