Gorham Community Concert by The Pond Lilies

The North Gorham United Church of Christ will host a free community concert by The Pond Lilies at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15. The church is located at the intersection of North Gorham and Standish Neck Roads. Tasty homemade treats will be served following the concert. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Pond Lilies are a local band whose members live in North Gorham and Standish near North Gorham Pond. They formed in 2014 and perform frequently at numerous venues in Cumberland and Oxford counties—from weddings to farmer’s markets, from pubs to apple orchards. They encourage audience participation by inviting members to clap their hands, tap their feet, hum along and even dance.

The band plays traditional-style music from Ireland, Scotland, Québec, Acadia, U.S. and beyond. Members include Leanne Daniels Cooper, flutes and whistle; Polly Lawson, guitar; Kristin Goodall, accordion and bodhrán; Jodee Davidson, double bass; and Jeanne DiSciullo, fiddle and bodhrán.
