Clark promoted to Manpower president

April Clark of Lewiston has been promoted by Manpower Maine to the position of president. In this role, Clark will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies, all while working to support and enhance the Manpower brand.

Upon graduating from the University of Maine with a BA in Communication in 1985, Clark immediately joined the Manpower team as a Service Representative. In her 29 years with the company, she has held a variety of roles, participating in all facets of developing creative approaches to satisfying client staffing needs and exceeding expectations. For the last 18 years, she has excelled in the role of vice president.

“April has been a key player in the direction and success of the business for many years, and we have all come to rely on her judgment on business issues,” said Manpower CEO John Larsson. “It is a rarity in today’s workforce to have an employee dedicate their professional career to a singular organization, and I believe a feat like this speaks to April’s character and to the Manpower team as a whole.”

Through her close relationships with hundreds of Manpower clients, her strong contacts throughout North America, and her passion for leadership in the field, Clark is able to offer staffing and management solutions gleaned from a broad base of experience.

Clark is an active member of the local and business community. She has served in leadership roles on the Maine State Council for the Society for Human Resource Management, the Diversity Hiring Coalition, and the Association of Manpower Franchise Owners, as well as with a number of HR, training and workforce related organizations over her tenure at Manpower.?She resides in Lewiston with her husband, Peter, and two children, Cleo and Wyatt.
